Newbies in the GWOF Team

New Additions to the Games Without Frontiers Team

Arguably the most important thing anyone can bring to a start-up organisation is a can-do and positive attitude.  Have a look at Wally Kozak’s Eagles and Ducks here (thank you ESpark Edinburgh for sharing) for some light relief on a serious point. I love it.

We have 3 new ‘eagles’ in GWOF and, as well as bringing their skills in sales, PR & branding and building our brand new player community platform, Nadine, Alice and Shannon bring positivity in spades.

I don’t think I am giving away any secrets here by saying that Alice and Shannon are fairly new to the world of business and they are yet to be phased by anything handed their way. Questions are always welcome and their answers are always, ‘yep, sure, leave it with me’.

I have yet to see Nadine’s feathers looking even slightly creased never mind ruffled.  She has done most of it and (probably) seen all of it and her experience is invaluable.  She’s often heard to say, ‘Ah, yes! I know just the person…’.

Of course there will be times when there are things we just can’t change but that’s still no excuse for being a duck.  Maya Angelou says “what you’re supposed to do when you don’t like a thing is change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. Don’t complain.”.

Thank you, excellent women, we are so glad to have you.
