We are delighted to announce that we were the winners of the ‘Innovation in Business’ award at the 2018 Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. The ceremony was held on the 8th February at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, and it was an impressive event that paid homage to the innovators and entrepreneurs who are the driving force behind Edinburgh’s financial and social economy.
The ‘Innovation in Business’ award, sponsored by Forth Ports, was a tough category with strong competition from other finalists. However, GWOF triumphed with its highly adaptable learning platform and its promise to change the way we learn, educate and teach. This platform was deemed worthy of recognition and GWOF members Stuart Laing, Alice Loudon and Shannon Devlin proudly collected the award on behalf of the team. Among those attending the prestigious event included Edinburgh Council leader Adam McVey, its chief executive Andrew Kerr, Paul Wheelhouse MSP, and Liz Cameron, the chief executive of the Scottish Chambers of Commerce.
Overall, it was a successful night for GWOF. The first of our awards and most definitely not the last.
